MaxNourish ingredients explained

Alfalfa

Alfalfa (lat. Medicago Sativa) also known as Purple medick, lucerne, California clover or Buffalo herb is a plant native to Asia but which is also widespread in the temperate areas. The reason why it is added to this formula is its high content of alkaloids, isoflavones, coumarins, sterols and also essential enzymes such as amylase (helps in starch digestion), coagulase (helps in milk coagulation), invertase (converts sugar into dextrose), emulsin (helps in sugars metabolism), peroxidase and protease (helps in protein digestion). Alfalfa provides a rich concentration of enzymes, vitamins (A, B-carotene, B, C, D, E, K and P), minerals (10 times more mineral value in comparison to average grains). A notable fact about alfalfa is its roots which can reach up to 15 meters in depth, allowing it to absorb important minerals which other vegetations doesn't have access to (calcium, magnesium, phosphorus an potassium).

Barley grass

7 times richer in vitamin C than Oranges and 5 times richer in iron than spinach, having 25 times more potassium than wheat — Barley grass (lat. Hordeum distichon) is considered to be the near the perfect food. It is high in fibre, calcium, magnesium, lysine (an essential amino acid). The most rich in nutrients is considered o be the young Barley grass in which all the nutrients are found in much greater quantity.

Beetroot

(Lat. Beta vulgaris),rich in iron, silicic acid, dietary nitrate, selenium, betaine, vitamins A, C, E, flavonoids, antioxidants, fibre — An important ingredient in the MaxNourish formula.

Billbery

(Lat. Vaccinum myrtilllus) is also known as Huckleberry and European blueberry. It is rich in vitamins (A, C, P), bioflavonoids, antioxidants (anthocyanosides), resveratrol and minerals (such as manganese).

Carrot

(Lat. Daucus carota), highly under-estimated for the nutrients they provide. Carrots are proved to be rich in essential nutrients, carotenes, vitamin A, vitamins B, vitamin C, minerals (copper, calcium, potassium, manganese, phosphorus) and antioxidants.

Dandelion root

(Lat. Taraxacum officinalis), contains active carotenoids, sesquiterpene lactones, vitamins A, B, C and very rich in nutrient minerals.

Green tea leaf

(Camellia thea) is a rich source of potent polyphenols. These active compounds may have beneficial health properties — some studies have suggested that green tea polyphenols have a stronger antioxidant action than vitamins C an E which currently are recognized as the most powerful antioxidants.

Kelp

A natural food, very low in cholesterol an a good source of dietary fibre, riboflavin, vitamin C, vitamin K, iodine, pantothenic acid, copper, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium and manganese.

Lemon peel

(Lat. Citrus limonium) contains flavonoids, coumarins, mucilage, vitamin C, citric acid. Is low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium and is also a source of vitamins B6, dietary fibre, calcium.

Pre-sprouted activated barley

Barley represents a source of slow release carbohydrates, for a low glycemic index, and a healthy choice for improving energy levels. It is considered to be a super-food due to its properties: rich in beta glucan, dietary fibre, highly bioavailable proteins, essential fats, enzymes and minerals.

Spinach leaf

(Lat. Spinacia oleracea) has a high nutritional value, proved to be rich in antioxidants, vitamins A, B2, B6, B9, K, lutein, magnesium, mandanese, folate, betaine, iron, calcium, potassium, folic acid, copper, protein, phosphorus, zinc, niacin, selenium and Omega 3 oils. Also, more recently a group of opioid peptides called ruviscolins have also been found in spinach.

Spirulina

Derived from the plant plankton, Spirulina is a highly nutritious food, containing more than 18 amino acids, including 8 essential amino acids which can not be produced by the body and need to be imported from external sources from daily food. Spirulina is rich in beta-carotene, vitamin E, vitamin F factor (GLA) and iron. It is an important source of protein too — 100g of spirulina yields 50-70% protein. Also, another important aspect, for the vegetarians and vegans especially, is that spirulina is rich in vitamin B12 — deficient in non-meat eaters. Vegans and vegetarians may find themselves deficient in Vitamin B12 if they don't study their diets carefully.

Turmeric root

(Lat. Curcuma longa) — a spice which contains volatile oils and also a wide range of vitamins and minerals together with the curcumin, the yellow pigment.

Wheatgrass

Once germinated, the seed of wheat gives birth to wheatgrass, highly appreciated for its increased content of chlorophyll, plant protein, enzymes and broad spectrum of vitamins (A, C, K, E and B vitamins). Also it contains trace minerals (including iron, phosphate, boron, copper, selenium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, chromium, manganese and zinc). Wheatgrass is also an important source of SOD, an enzyme with an important role in the detoxification of the body.

Nutrients — man-made versus natural sources

There is an abundance of nutrients and supplements on the market which offer man-made vitamins and minerals but practice shows they don't get so easily absorbed by the body as they are not well balanced and the body doesn't know how to deal with them. The human body evolved to recognize the naural foods, provided by Nature and this is the only way you can achieve a optimal health.

MaxNourish is a completely natural food supplement, based on natural ingredients and it blends Nature's most nutrient dense herbs. This results in a strong concentration of multivitamins, multi-minerals, amino acids and trace elements supplements. Certain foods and natural herbs are nutritionally superiors to others of a similar type, whether in terms of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids or other nutrients. These nutrients get easily assimilated by the body. MaxNourish makes use of the nutritionally superior plants, — a good supply of nutrients required for various cellular function.

Consuming higher quantities of vitamins or minerals doesn't necessarily mean that all these will get assimilated and used by the organism — even healthy people are not able to fully digest and assimilate the most of the man-made vitamin and mineral pills. The ingredients in MaxNourish differ as they are combining the Nature's most beneficial and nutrient-dense herbs in one single easy to take capsule. It allows the body to actually absorb the vitamins and minerals and use them.
